NOW President Bush is Sorry?

Are you kidding me? After all of your ridiculous decisions that have caused this country enormous pain in human loss and suffering as well as financial instability due to your stupid war, NOW you are sorry? Where in the hell have you been for the last 7 years?

How many times were you directly asked if you regretted a decision and invariably you said, “No”. How many times could you have stepped up without being prodded and admitted that, like all of us, you may have made a mistake or used poor judgement? But now, in the eleventh hour of your presidency, you decide to come clean. How very noble of you…you pompous ass.

I have completely resisted bashing Bush for the 4 months that I have written this blog because, frankly, it would just be piling on. There is no question as to how ignorant or inept this administration has been. But why beat a dead horse? Plus, I honestly do not want to besmirch the office of the President. While I disagree with many/most of his decisions, he was chosen by this country to represent all of us so you just deal with it. Until now. He gets to run his mouth at the last moment, I get to run mine.

Like a man that is awaiting for the switch to be pulled on the electric chair, President Bush has finally found his voice. In fact, he plans to write a book to tell us how hard the decisions he had to make were. No sh**, you idiot! You are the POTUS…it’s supposed to be hard. If it wasn’t, any jackass could do it. Should we feel bad for you? Should we be sorry for being mean to you and mocking your failed “strategeries”?

Look, I understand you are going to try to cobble together some sort of feeble legacy. All Presidents do. But why NOW? We are still at war, the country is in a shambles and you are on your way out the door. Couldn’t you at least have the decency that Nixon had and let some time pass to cover over these raw wounds? Why the hell has Laura all of the sudden let you off of your leash?

He regrets using the “mission accomplished” banner 5 1/2 years ago. He regrets saying “Wanted: Dead or Alive” in regards to Bin Laden and “bring ’em on”. Both comments also made many, many years ago. So why the sudden remorse, W? Did Jesus tap you on the shoulder or something? Is this your way to make up for all of your misdeeds over the years. Or, God help us, is this a cynical attempt to reshape history and put a buck in your pocket. I would expect as much from Cheney but not you.

Whatever the reason, please for the love of everything holy, just shut your yapper. Shake hands with “O”, grab your sh**, and head back to the farm. When the country rebounds and the war is finally over, then feel free to pop your head out of the cave. Until then, not a word. You had your chance and blew it. You listened to Cheney and Rummy and now you are left holding the bag. Take it like a man.

With all of this time on your hands, how about instead of writing a book you pick up a phone and call the people that have lost loved ones in Iraq and Afghanistan. How about you visit VA hospitals and see what you can do to help the injured…and the families of the injured. No one wants to hear your story but there is still an opportunity for you to redeem yourself much like Jimmy Carter has. Even your dad has made up for many of his missteps. Take a lesson from him.

And lest anyone think I am solely bashing republicans. I was, and still am equally disgusted with William Jefferson Clinton waving his finger at the camera and saying, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman”. In spite of whatever good he has done, he lost me right there. Because he got a BJ? Of course not. It is the same reason as W, he lied to the very people he vowed when he took his oath he would never lie to, the American public.

I am done. Bash away.

I’m always so amazed at the people that bad mouth President Bush when they really don’t have even an INKLING of the classified information he’s privy to. I’m so thankful he was our president during September 11…I believe as a country we’ve all forgotten that…WE are the lame asses. Nobody realizes that without a strong national security it won’t matter what the state of our economic woes are. Quite frankly I would’ve voted W in for another 4 years…there….I said it.

  2. tannerleah says:

Art, put down the crack pipe. W had no good reason to go to war. Virtually no one in his administration even fights that fight any more.

Our national security is so strong we tie down unruly passengers on a plane with duct tape. We check, what, maybe 20% of the stuff that comes into our ports? That national security is REALLY working with illegal immigration. Mexican drug lords are now starting to wage battles in US cities. Are we safe or lucky? I don’t know but what I see doesn’t make me feel all warm and cozy.

You are one of my favorite bible clutching conservatives but you have this one all wrong. The unholy trinity of Bush, Cheney and Rummy set this country back years…possibly decades.

“Quite frankly I would’ve voted W in for another 4 years”

Wow, you are in for a shock then when Bush and his co-horts are arrested on Jan 20th inaugeration day after being indicted in Texas by a secret Grand Jury as a mass murderer (9-11), war criminal, war profiteer, subverting the course of Justice, subverting democracy, the list goes on and on.

  4. tannerleah says:

    Ahh…here comes the calvary!

  5. art vandelay says:

    Blah, blah, blah.

  6. tannerleah says:

Technically art, it’s “yadda, yadda, yadda”.

  7. alex says:

Not sure if this will allow me to post links but will try.

Here is some proof Bush will be arrested on Jan 20th

    Read Between the lines…

Nov 1st – Obama wants to deport his own Aunt
“We are a nation of laws…laws have to be obeyed…you have to obey the law.”

Nov 1st – “…political motive behind the timing of the leak.”
    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1108/15161.html

    Nov 3rd – O’Reilly Factor
DENNIS MILLER, FOX NEWS CONTRIBUTOR: Can you give me one present?
    .
KATIE COURIC, HOST, “CBS EVENING NEWS”: You have an aunt who’s been living in this country, apparently illegally, for four years. And your campaign says any and all the appropriate laws should be followed. So would you support her being deported to Kenya?

BARACK OBAMA: If she has violated laws, then those laws have to be obeyed. You know, we are a nation of laws, and you know, obviously, that doesn’t lessen my concern for her. I haven’t been able to get in touch with her. But, it — you know, I’m a strong believer that you obey the law.

O’REILLY: So, if on inauguration if he wins, the aunt shows, she’s in cuffs.
    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,446684,00.html

    Nov 4th – CNN “Holograms”
CNN made waves on Tuesday night by incorporating three-dimensional holograms into its Coverage of the U.S. election. The only problem was, they weren’t really holograms.

“They were quite sophisticated, no doubt,” said Hans Jürgen Kreuzer, a professor of theoretical physics at Dalhousie University and an expert on holography who watched the 3-D interviews. “But I immediately said to my wife that I don’t think it has anything to do with holograms.”

“You’re a terrific hologram,” Blitzer said

The CNN anchors were not really speaking to three-dimensional projected images, but rather empty space, Kreuzer said. The images were simply added to what viewers saw on their screens at home, in much the same way computer-generated special effects are added to movies.
Kreuzer said the images were tomograms, which are images that are captured from all sides, reconstructed by computers, then displayed on screen.

Nov 5th 2008 CNN – the hologram conspiracy
“looking beyond the headlines, getting down to brass tacks. why holograms? why now? what is going on? what is the agenda here? we intend to find out. remember, if they are releasing this to us then the stuff they have is way
more advanced than what we are seeing”

    Yawn

  9. tannerleah says:

Ok alex. I watched some of the youtube stuff and I am starting think you might have been taking a few hits off of art’s crack pipe. I appreciate the info but it’s a bit much even for a dirty liberal like me.

  10. UF says:

Jimmy Carter redeemed? Please explain that one.

  11. alex says:

We shall see…sounds like you heard it here first 🙂
I have tons more but would be overwhelming.

It never even occured to me until saw O’Reilly factor on Nov 3rd. Dennis Miller and Bill where hooting it up, laughing and hollaring. Obama’s aunt is one of 11 million illegal aliens, they are going to arrest and deport her? Think about it. What is the message here and who is directed to?

Same with “CNN Holograms” – “But I immediately said to my wife that I don’t think it has anything to do with holograms.” Hans Jürgen Kreuzer, a professor of theoretical physics.

If doesn’t have anything to do with holograms…what does it have to do with? What is the message here and who is it directed to?

What is the message of an aunt who is breaking the law and fake “holograms” ?

  12. alex says:

You know what is happening today in the MSM? Bush is expressing “regret”
for the first time ever in the history of his Presidency. I think this is just the beginning as the msmedia will slowly warm the public up to his litany of crimes so it doesnt al l come as a massive shock.

I should add about the O’Reilly factor on Nov3rd, the text transcript does not convey the absolute glee, excitement and over-reacting Miller and Bill were expressing and even miming when they contemplated Obamas aunt being carted off in handcuffs on inaugeration day. You had to see it to get the full effect. I have it recorded on my DVR but no means of getting off at the moment. While I was trying to record it, FoxNews shut off my DVR off to prevent it being recorded and I cant find a video of this on the net anywhere. If I can get off will post on YouTube unsing a non-descript name and you can see it for youself.

Still, it begs the question, how can they be getting so excited about something that wont happen? Her legal status is:

“an administrative, noncriminal violation of immigration law, meaning such cases are handled outside the criminal court system. Estimates vary, but many experts believe there are more than 10 million such immigrants in the U.S.”
    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27481680/

  13. tannerleah says:

UF – Jimmy built a bunch of homes for broke people. Voila! Redeemed.

  14. tannerleah says:

Well alex, in a few short months we will find out if your theories are true or not. It wouldn’t be the first time I have been shocked by the media or politicians. However, I must say FoxNews shutting off your DVR seems to be a bit of a reach. Maybe you had a power outage or you need a new DVR.

  15. alex says:

Nope. I bought it brand new on Oct 31st after seeing Schwarzenegger speech at McCainrally in Ohio. That was when I knew that things where not as they appeared. I left it running for about 5 days on different channels but particularly FoxNews and CNN were the most revealing.

Besides the fact that Schwarzenegger the most unlikely politician EVER to endorse McCain ie offshore drilling, here is Schwarzenegger speech (only Arnold part is relevant)
    http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/News/Speeches/33b85d32-5801-4383-b3d9-42c049de919a.htm

    Here is Youtube version:

Again, you have to ask why is Arnold saying these things about taxes? Why would McCain let him?

You should see or read Palin/McCain speeches Nov 1st/2nd/3rd
Coincidentally, they dont even exist on McCain site:
    http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/News/Speeches/

You just have to think logically, like Chomsky on 9-11:

“Did they plan it any way or know anything about it, this seems to me extremely unlikely. I mean for one thing they would have had to been insane to try anything like that..first if they had it would have leaked…If it had they would have all been before firing squads and that would be The end of the republican party forever.”

“Nov. 4 will bring not just the defeat of John McCain, but the veritable death of the Republican Party as they know it.”

  16. Elizabeth says:

I have to agree with Art. I think Bush made some sound decisions. What seemed to hold him back was his inability to articulate, lack of charisma and he just generally lacked presidential station and carriage. The general populace does not understand politics which is why I believe voters should have to take a test in order to vote. I find it ASTONISHING that the world did not unite and take Saddam down in unison. And why did we need a reason (weapons of mass destruction)? Torture, tyranny and sheer evilness was not enough? Do people understand the depths of depravity? It’s all too easy to blame Bush for the current economic meltdown too, but does anyone remember the dot com and tech bust at the end of Clintons’ term? I lost over 100K in that scam of the decade. No, I won’t be sad to see Bush leave, but I can’t bash him either. Like Art said, people aren’t privy to classified information. The vast majority can not fully appreciate Islamic fundamentalism. Let’s cut the man some slack.

  17. tannerleah says:

There are roughly 40 regimes worldwide that seem to have attended the Saddam School of Management. Shall we overthrow all of them or just the really, really, really bad ones? I know conservatives love a good war but we are in no position to rule the world. Nor should we want to.

I also think the “Jesus defense” of Bush is ridiculous. He works in mysterious ways and knows things our simple minds can’t comprehend. Bullsh**. He, but more so his cohorts, are nothing more than greedy, power mongers. Baron Acton said it best: “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men.”

As to the financial crisis, I actually agree with you. This was a shared failure by a variety of greedy people from both sides of the aisle. If Pat Paulson would just leave things alone, the market would self correct…albeit a painful correction.

  18. art vandelay says:

Glenn Beck had a sit down with President Bush last year and expressed to W his concerns about who might be next in office and what they might do. W reassured him that whoever is our next president will see the classified briefings and they too will realize they will have very few options. In other words, W’s nuts have been in a vice.
BTW, how about blaming our INTELLIGENCE for the WMD in Iraq?? Their info was convincing enough to go to war for W and many, many democrats. The whole thing is a CLUSTER!

  19. tannerleah says:

Barry didn’t want to go to war.

I will say this, if Barry EVER says, “after reviewing the information, Pres. Bush did the only thing he could do”, I will drive to W’s ranch and fellate him. (And, no, that would not normally be a fun thing for me to do).

  20. eve says:

    yeah, bush is sorry, alright
